By the end of 2012, Coca-Cola Beverages Vietnam Ltd. had nine production lines across the country. On June 12 saw the firm commissioning four more lines – two for aluminum cans and two for plastic bottles – at the two new facilities of which one is located in HCMC and the other in Hanoi.

The company said the environmentally-friendly production lines could help save 10% of electricity bills and 20% of water bills.

A large number of employees have been trained to operate the new facilities.

Coca-Cola now has factories in HCMC, Danang City and Hanoi, with 99% of its 2,000 employees Vietnamese. The company plans to double its labor force in the country in the next decade.

The company has kept expanding in Vietnam to capitalize on growth potential though it reported losses for years in this market.
