Chevron Vietnam launches motorcycle beauty pageant

Each of the category winners of the competition, aimed at finding Vietnam’s hottest-looking motorcycles, will receive a stylish Apple iPad Air as will the People’s Choice Award winner, while the Havoline Protection Award Winner will receive a two-year supply of Caltex Havoline 4T motorcycle engine oil. 

Starting from 20 November, contest participants are invited to post pictures of their motorcycle on the Caltex Vietnam Facebook page (www.facebook.com/caltexvn).

Each week through December 17, 2013, the entry with the highest number of votes will be entered to compete in a special awards ceremony on December 21, 2013.

“We are looking to find Vietnam’s best looking motorcycles in three categories: Classic, Modern Automatic and Modern Geared," said Joseph Bronfman, Area business manager, Chevron Lubricants Philippines & Vietnam.

“There are an estimated 37 million motorbikes in Vietnam and many people take great pride in their wheels. We expect to see some really exciting entries and a very challenging final selection."

The contest award ceremony will be held at NowZone fashion mall in Ho Chi Minh City's District 1 starting at 9am on December 21, 2013.

A three-judge panel, including, Chevron Lubricants Vietnam’s general director Le Van Khai, Saigon Scooter Centre’s director Patrick Joynt and Ly Quy Quang, director of the Vietnam’s largest biker forum, Biker Vietnam will select the Judges’ award.

Judging will be based on looks, design, and efforts to preserve and protect the engines and ensure safe riding for its owner. 

In addition, a People's Choice award, based on the highest number of votes on event day, will also be selected during the finale.  The Caltex Havoline Protection award will go to the owner of the motorcycle who best describes his or her safety and maintenance regime on the Facebook application page.
