Cai Lan Port project afloat

Cai Lan International Terminal Company Limited (CICT) signed a contract with main contractor South Korea-based Halla Group on November 20, 2010 in Ha Long city to carry out bidding package No C1000 on the construction of wharves numbers two, three and four at Cai Lan Port.

The northern Quang Ninh province project’s total investment capital was around $155.3 million.

It was expected that after completion in June 2012, Cai Lan International Port can receive 3,000-4,000, 20-foot equivalent unit cargoes.

Construction was supposed to be started in December, 2010.
