Around 150 employees of cable products manufacturer Jakob Saigon, a wholly-owned affiliate of Switzerland's Jakob AG, will be covered under a pension scheme the company has signed with life insurer PVI SunLife.

The contract was signed between the two companies yesterday.

Jakob Saigon and its employees will jointly pay the premiums though the ratios are not known.

At the signing ceremony, Jakob Saigon also nominated US insurance consulting firm Aon Vietnam as its representative for matters concerning the contract with PVI SunLife.

PVI SunLife is a joint venture between PetroVietnam Insurance Holdings and Canada's Sun Life Financial.
