This visit is part of the three-day AHK - Experience Exchange in Vocational Training – ASEAN conference organised by AHK in Ho Chi Minh City, from February 28 to March 1, 2016. The conference is an effort to connect the AHKs in ASEAN for experience exchange as well as to develop a common framework, so-called One ASEAN – One Standard for dual training in the region, based on German vocational training standards. This conference is expected to be rotated annually among ASEAN countries.
The delegation also had a roundtable discussion with Bosch Vietnam management team on the training curricular, career for apprentices after graduation as well as exchanging experience in dual vocational training in ASEAN.
“Bosch TGA training centre is one of the first and prominent vocational training partnership under the dual training framework of AHK in Vietnam. In cooperation with Lilama 2 College in Dong Nai, Bosch Vietnam aims to contribute towards the building-up of a highly skilled local technical workforce for Vietnam, and thus enhance their employment opportunities in the long-term,” said Vo Quang-Hue, managing director of Bosch Vietnam.
Bosch TGA centre in Vietnam has more than 70 apprentices, who are on practical training using machinery and equipment provided by Bosch, under the supervision of Bosch instructors.
Bosch TGA training centre in Vietnam is now preparing for the fourth intake by an enrollment programme from March to August 2016.
Established in 2013, the Technical Industrial Apprenticeship (TGA) training centre in Dong Nai provides a dual education programme that is developed based on German vocational training standards. With the initial investment of $1 million the centre aims to meet the increased need for local skilled labor.
