Bosch ties up with Dong Nai province to support vocational schools in the 4.0 era

The partnership’s objectives are supporting vocational schools in Dong Nai province with opportunities to approach Industry 4.0, therefore enabling them to acquire, master, and operate new technology. In addition, the parties shall facilitate close co-operation between vocational education institutions in Dong Nai province and Bosch Rexroth in the field of training and developing a source of qualified labour which can meet the needs of businesses during the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The partners will co-operate in key fields related to the 4.0 education and training, including providing Industry 4.0 training for teachers of vocational education institutions in Dong Nai province, with special focus on automation, mechatronics, pneumatics, and hydraulics. The training activities will be held in the province and abroad for advanced training (if necessary).

In addition, the tie-up will support vocational education institutions in Dong Nai in setting up and adjusting the training programmes to the shifting requirements of the 4.0 era. They will also collaborate to organise technical seminars to share updated knowledge about Industry 4.0.

“Science and technology are important enablers of economic and social growth, in which skilled workforce plays a vital role. During the past years, manufacturers in Dong Nai province have begun to implement advanced technologies. Furthermore, we will actively deploy training programmes in vocational education institutions,” said Nguyen Hoa Hiep, vice president of Dong Ni People’s Committee. “We are pleased to work closely with Bosch, a technological leader, so that we can continue to accelerate skilled labour while at the same time shaping Dong Nai province’s economy.”

“Keeping pace with technology is integral to staying competitive and developing Industry 4.0-enabled factories of the future. As one of the global leaders in drive and control technology, Bosch has acquired a unique level of technological expertise and would like to pass on the know-how as well as technology to apprentices and students with industrial knowledge and experience in the most practical and comprehensive approach,” added Guru Mallikarjuna, managing director of Bosch Vietnam.
