ANZ Vietnam opened a representative office on September 19 in the southern Binh Duong province, near Ho Chi Minh City, targeting manufacturing clients based in the area.

“Our new representative office confirms our commitment to the local market and reinforces our bank’s strategic focus on supporting our customers, particularly those active in the Binh Duong region such as food and beverage processors, animal feed, textile, garment and leather production, packaging, and furniture,” announced the bank’s CEO Tareq Muhmood.

“With the office, we will be closer to our customers,” he said, adding that the recent delivery of Money Minded – An ANZ financial education programme – to disadvantaged youth at the Binh Duong Vocational Training Centre by ANZ staff demonstrated the bank’s commitment to growing sustainably in the region.

The office is located at Canary Plaza in Thuan An township.

With its first office in 1993, ANZ was one of the first foreign banks to open in Vietnam. In 2008 it received approval from the State Bank of Vietnam to operate as a fully foreign-invested bank.
