AmCham event promotes Vietnamese supply chains

Around 17 manufacturers and 60 suppliers from a wide range of industries have gathered at Supply Day 2017 held in Ho Chi Minh City.

The event, organised by AmCham in Ho Chi Minh City, is not only an opportunity for suppliers to better understand the requirements of manufacturers, but also an occasion for manufacturers to learn about potential suppliers, as well as help inform and train suppliers.

To further integrate into the global supply chain, local suppliers need to strengthen their capabilities by implementing state-of-the-art quality management systems and production technologies to achieve benchmark business practices.

Through this, local suppliers could create and develop new market opportunities as well address sustainability challenges, contributing to the achievement of Vietnam’s supply chain development agenda.

AmCham Supplier Day 2017 is an excellent opportunity for both suppliers and manufacturers to proactively develop their Vietnamese supply chains.

Additionally, the event offers a unique platform for industry experts to share their experiences in a mutually beneficial manner, leading to a fruitful relationship for all parties and building the Vietnamese supply chain.

Fran Weiand, general director of Supply Chain Services International’s Vietnam headquarters, shared his conviction that the event will help improve the local supply chain and connect with international manufacturers, as they are desperately in need of a local high-quality supply chain to save costs and attain more flexible operations.
