ACCA and State Audit of Vietnam sign cooperation deal

According to the State Audit of Vietnam (SAV), this is an important cooperation agreement for the SAV with a professional organisation in the field of auditing in order to gradually improve the quality of human resources and state auditing activities in Vietnam.

In the context of high quality human resources and auditing service as a urgent requirement for the economy, the agreement is expected to open up opportunities to contribute to improving the quality of audit, meet domestic demands as well as integration with regional and the world auditing orgainizations, said the SAV.

Speaking at the ceremony Doan Xuan Tien , deputy state auditor, said to keep signing cooperation agreement between the SAV and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) not only showed a good and efficient cooperation between the two parties in over time but also significantly contributed greatly to the completion of the SAV's strategic plan.

According to the agreement, the two sides agreed to cooperate in the following areas : ACCA will support the SAV through sharing experience with National Audit Office (United Kingdom) and some global body for professional accountants like ACCA.

In professional training , ACCA will take conditions for state auditors to join the training a world-class training of ACCA which contribute to improve young auditors , not only in term of professional skills but also on professional ethics as well as updates on the changes of accounting in the region and around the world

Martin Turner, President, ACCA Global, said that this cooperation agreement again marks a major step forward in the close relationship between ACCA and the SAV.

"I believe that the signing of the cooperation agreement between two parties will be a basis for us to conduct activities to support each other in professional development and enhance professional skills , contribute to the development of accounting and auditing in general and help Vietnam's auditing to integrate with audit profession in the region and  the world", he said.
