1,000 wishes for Hanoi” winners awarded

On 13 October 2010, HSBC Bank (Vietnam) Ltd., HSBC Vietnam, awarded the winners of its “1000 wishes for Hanoi” campaign.

The initiative, which ran from 30 August to 24 September 2010, called for Vietnamese people around

the country to share their wishes for the capital for the future to mark the 1000-year anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.

The top 1000 wishes have been posted on www.ngandieuuoc.com for all to read.Thousands of wishes were sent in from everywhere in Vietnam, expressing the desires and dreams of Vietnamese people for a rich, prosperous and developed capital that continued to build on the country’s existing strengths and history.

HSBC also donated 100, VND5 million ($250) scholarships to Tuoi Tre newspaper’s Study Promotion Society. 

“Every big achievement may originate from a small dream. As the slogan in HSBC’s latest campaign says, ‘The world belongs to those who see its potential’.

HSBC has always appreciated the dreams local people have for Hanoi and would like to help to preserve them for future generations,” said Ton That Anh Vu, Head of Compliance and Government Relationsfor HSBC Vietnam.
