VN supports constitutional government of Venezuela

Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh voiced his support for the Constitutional Government led by President Nicolas Maduro during his meeting with the Venezuelan FM Delcy Rodríguez on Monday morning.

Deputy PM, FM Minh expressed his belief that Venezuelan people will surely overcome difficulties and challenges to continue gaining greater achievements in national construction and development, enhancing its prestige and position on the international arena.

FM Rodríguez said she admires Viet Nam’s history as well as renewal achievements, affirming that her country always attaches importance to consolidating and strengthening the friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Viet Nam.

She thanked the Government and people of Viet Nam for their support for the Government of President Nicolas Maduro.

The two sides agreed to maintain regular exchange of visits and improve the effectiveness of the political consultation mechanism between the two foreign ministries in a bid to further boost the bilateral ties in various fields.

They also agreed to foster cooperation in launching the agreements reached by the two countries during President Nicolas Maduro’s ongoing official visit to Viet Nam, particularly in such areas like energy, agriculture and aquaculture.

Regarding multilateral cooperation, both sides shared the similarities in their positions on regional and global issues, affirming their resolve to tighten coordination at international forums, especially the United Nations.
