Savico MegaMall is ready to roll

Savico Hanoi and CB Richard Ellis have introduced the $35 million Savico MegaMall, the biggest destination mall in Vietnam.

With total gross floor area of 63,400 square metres, the Savico MegaMall will be launched in November. It will be larger than Vietnam’s current largest shopping mall, the 57,704sqm Vincom Center Shopping Mall in Ho Chi Minh City. 

The Long Bien district mall, designed by French architects Site Architecture (S.A.R.L), Savico MegaMall will comprise two separated blocks interconnecting together with stylised overpass.

Block A will be the largest of the two buildings. The entire 14,200sqm lower level of the block is reserved exclusively for a giant hypermarket and operated by a leading brand name from France.

The 13,000sqm ground floor comprises of deluxe spaces for premium brands in fashion, cosmetics, jewelry, watches, and personal accessories. In addition banking counters and cafes are located on this floor for the comfort and convenience of customers. There is also a 1,000sqm centre atrium area which is exclusively reserved for the mail and brand events.

With an area of 13,500sqm, the second floor will be devoted to electronics, homecare, furniture and equipment superstores.

Block B is the Savico Business Centre. It comprises of three floors with total gross floor area of 8,500sqm. The first floor will be an international standard Toyota car showroom and is set to open and commence operations in December 2010, managed by the member of Savico’s nationwide automobile distribution network.

The second and third floors are reserved for administration and offices for leasing.

After completion, Savico MegaMall will provide parking place for at least 800 cars and 4,000 motorbikes.

At the time, the occupancy rate of the development was 46 per cent.
