PM Dung meets with Japanese economic minister

The Government chief made the statement on Monday during his reception for Japanese Minister of Economics, Trade and Industry Motegi who is on a working visit to Viet Nam.

PM Dung urged the two sides to enhance trade exchanges and create favorable conditions for Japanese to expand investment in Viet Nam.

He suggested that Japan increase official development assistance for the Southeast Asian country’s traffic infrastructure, energy, healthcare, education and training sectors.

PM Dung expressed his hope that the Government of Japan would continue to help quickly finalize and implement the Plan of Action for six key industries in the Viet Nam Industrialization Strategy within the Framework of the Viet Nam-Japan Program through 2020 and vision to 2030.

Minister Motegi said during his visit to Viet Nam, both sides discussed 15 specific cooperation areas, especially support industry, energy, healthcare, human resource training, environment among others.
