Hanoi Promotion Month 2022 aims to usher in numerous opportunities for consumers to engage in a chain of events with intriguing shopping experience at more than 1,000 stores belonging to businesses, production, and trading units from assorted economic sectors.

The event, launched on November 4 and slated to run until the end of the month, features a chain of eminent promotional events, including the Hanoi Mega Sale fair which will be taking place on November 4-8 at Times City in Hanoi's Hai Ba Trung district.

The fair encompasses 100 booths introducing and selling a wide assortment of consumer goods such as clothing, cosmetics, and products under the One Commune One Product programme, among others.

Local consumers can experience shopping on-site and online with discounts of up to 50 per cent.

Then, the Golden Promotion Day will take place on November 12 and 13 at 50 supermarkets and commercial centres with promotions from 20 per cent to 50 per cent in direct discounts, gifts, lucky draws, and incentives for non-cash payments.

The Hanoi Tourism Promotion Festival will run from November 18-20 at pedestrian space surrounding Hoan Kiem Lake in the centre of Hanoi, where the 50 participating booths will introduce a number of inbound and outbound tours with attractive discounts from 20 to 50 per cent.

Also, the Flash Sale Day will occur on November 27 at MediaMart My Dinh.

Speaking at the opening ceremony on July 8, Tran Thi Phuong Lan, director of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, stressed that it is one of important activities of the department in particular and the city in general, in order to boost domestic demand and recover production and business, thus contributing to municipal socioeconomic development post-pandemic.

According to Nguyen Quy Tan, director of MediaMart My Dinh, the unit has been "working with diverse suppliers to prepare promotions with discounts from 15 to 70 per cent for more than 30,000 products", including televisions, refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, household appliances, and technology products.

Meanwhile, Nguyen Quang Duc, marketing director of PICO electronics, said that the unit has been ready for the Hanoi Promotion Month 2022 as it has negotiated with manufacturers to offer 20-30 per cent discount for promotional items in November, and even up to 50 per cent during the Golden Promotion Day on November 12-13.

Similarly, other supermarkets such as BRGmart, Big C, and Winmart have also been negotiating with major suppliers to prepare quality product sources of clear origin along with price discounts ranging from 10 to 50 per cent.

Bui Duy Quang, deputy director of Hanoi Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Centre (HPA) – the organiser of the Hanoi Promotion Month event – noted that the organising committee expects the Hanoi Promotion Month to become "one of the efficient solutions helping firms to weather the storm and fuel consumption.

The programme also helps to push up production and business rebound, and facilitate total retail sales growth as well as supply demand balance in Hanoi.

With well-conceived preparations and diverse promotion programmes throughout November, the Hanoi Promotion Month 2022 is expected to become a special bridge aiding firms in image promotion and helping consumers to approach quality items at competitive prices.
