Gamuda Land organised this competition to bring a useful and practical playground for young students who are passionate about architecture, landscape design, and fine art sculptures as well as seeking fresh ideas to bring the 16-hectare park of Celadon City closer to residents.

Over the last two months, with intensive lectures and interesting field trips, the contest attracted nearly 500 entries. 300 entries came from individuals and groups of students from universities across the city.
According to Wyeren Yap Vooi Soon, general director of Gamuda Land (Ho Chi Minh City) and head of the judging panel, under the original regulations there would only have been awards for the first to third contestants as well as to the most unique idea and an audience award.
Architect Nguyen Thu Phong, chairman of the National Architects' Club and a member of the judging panel, said that this the competition was an overwhelming success with a large number of participants and attractive awards.
“I think that this is a worthy investment for students and it will become one of the most attractive competitions for students in the field of landscape designing,” said Phong.
The first prize was given to the render named “Flower Boat” made by a group of students from Ho Chi Minh City Architecture College. The winners of the second prize, with their render “Natural Mother” are also students of this college. The third and other prizes went to Ton Duc Thang University and Hutech.
