Australian becomes AAA Assurance CEO

Vietnam’s AAA Assurance has appointed Jonathan Delalande as its new CEO to replace retiring founder Do Thi Kim Lien.

The Australian is also the legal representative of the Ho Chi Minh City-based insurer and made his CEO debut at its headquarters on March 8.

Delalande said: “Madam Lien has led AAA since 2005. Over the time, the business has grown tremendously and the AAA Assurance brand is one of most recognised and respected across Vietnam. I look forward to contributing to the continued success of the company. Her passion and contributions will be missed and we wish her well.”

Lien said: “I’m confident that AAA Assurance will continue to grow and build on its reputation as an organisation that give its customers peace of mind.”

Delalande joins AAA from Insurance Australia Group, an existing shareholder of the Vietnamese firm, with 20 years in the insurance industry, including six years within Asia.
