ACE Life scoops prestigious sustainability and ethics awards

ACE Life was honoured the Sustainable Development Enterprises certification from the World Federation of UNESCO Clubs,
Centers and Associations (WFUCA)

ACE Life was the only life insurance company in Vietnam awarded with both corporate and individual awards at this event.

“The winning of the awards is a testimony to ACE Life’s nine years of effective and ethical operations by adhering to Vietnam’s laws and policies, respecting human rights and giving back to the community,” said Lam Hai Tuan.

“Achieving a billion-dollar business in the first seven years with more than 10,000 staff and agents, ACE Life is also committed to giving back to the community by founding the Crossing Wave Fund. Apart from providing excellent service to our customers, this is how ACE Life gains trust and recognition in the country”, he added.

The company has thus far donated VND13 billion ($620,000) to this charity fund to support education programmes, such as school buildings and student scholarships.

The individual award “Global Ethics in Business Ambassador” was selected based on the strict criteria to reward excellent leaders who have not only led an organisation to business success but have also implemented social responsibility, respected and protected human rights, as well as business ethics.

Tuan said, “ACE Life is a foreign-invested life insurance company which employs entire Vietnamese staff from the inception, while most of our management was trained and developed locally. This shows its commitment to the Vietnam market and we will continue to reinforce its business and human resource strategies, as well as community contribution, to achieve greater success in the future.”

The award ceremony was part of the international conference “Global Ethics Education for Sustainable Development” organised by the Vietnam Federation of UNESCO Associations (VFUA).

To acknowledge the Global Ethics Day and improve ethics awareness in culture, education and business, the four-day conference welcomed around 150 international visitors from 40 countries.

One of the most important activities at this conference was recognition of the Sustainable Development Enterprises certification to businesses and Global Ethics in Business Ambassador award to outstanding leaders.
