Voices grow for hedge funds

The conference will take place at Ho Chi Minh City’s Continental Hotel and is jointly held by Luxembourg’s development co-operation agency Lux-Development.
The State Securities Commission (SSC) will show its opinions on the hedge fund industry potential within the framework of the conference, while Lux-Development’s experts giving ideas on experts on the policies and legal framework applying for hedge funds in Vietnam.
Hedge funds are not active in Vietnam as they are considered to be too risky for a fledging market.
However, local market participants are currently crying out for hedge funds given the current close-ended funds are becoming obsolete given the increasingly animated market.
The conference will be attended also by Ministry of Finance, Vietnam-based management fund companies.
