Deputy Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City municipal People’s Committee, Nguyen Thi Hong, cut the ribbon to inaugurate a Satra supermarket in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on April 7.

Invested by the Saigon Trading Group (Satra), the supermarket sits on an area of 2,000 sq. m and sells more than 2,000 Vietnamese high-quality products, including cosmetics, foodstuffs, household plastic appliances and clothes.

In the near future, Satra plans to increase the number of products available at the supermarket to 5,000 products, with the aim of turning it into a wholesale and retail centre for goods imported from Ho Chi Minh City-based businesses.

On the occasion, Hong held working sessions with leaders of Vietnamese-invested Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Bank (Sacombank) and Bank for Investment and Development of Cambodia (BIDC) in Phnom Penh.

The official spoke highly of the banks’ efforts to supply services for and support Vietnamese businesses in Cambodia.
