Vietnam seeks cooperation opportunities at World SME Expo

Vietnam is joining with 20 countries and territories in the 2012 World SME Expo in China’s Hong Kong special Administrative Region (HKSAR) to promote trade and investment, and spread the image of Vietnamese people and its business environment to the world.

Held annually by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), this year’s theme was “Transforming Business for Tomorrow.”

Vietnam introduced numerous documents on its business and investment environment, in particular its competitive associations and companies specialising in garments and textile, fisheries, coffee and cashew nuts. On the first day alone, the showcase attracted thousands of visitors interested in learning about Vietnam .

In recent years, trade relations between Vietnam and Hong Kong have strengthened and developed.

Hong Kong has invested in 692 projects with a total registered capital worth $11.961 billion in Vietnam , making it the 6 th largest investor in the country
