Viet Han introduces large ecological city in northern Vietnam

Developers Viet Han Trading, Advertising, Construction, Real Estate Limited Company  confirmed that the $305 million first phase of the project including a 36-hole golf-course will be kicked-off in early 2011.

Dream City is considered as a high feasibility project and expected to attract more visitors coming to Phu Tho province, contribute to the province’s economic development and protect the area’s ecological environment.

Viet Han’s general director Dinh Ngoc Huong Chau said the demand for relaxing and entertainment of local residents had grown. However, there were a few tourism destinations providing modern facilities, entertainment areas and fresh natural environment in the north.

“With historical centres and ancient citadels and 49 places of historical interest, Tam Nong district is the best location to construct a high-standard sport tourism urban areas serving demand for relaxing and entertainment of local residents, domestic and foreign visitors,” said Chau.

Designed by I.C.U JSC and international architects, Dream City contains a 336ha golf course, a 144ha horse racing track, a 350ha resort, a 105ha entertainment park, a 146ha sport area and a 107ha exceptional entertainment facility.

The developer has also devoted 562ha to develop a series of luxurious, eco-friendly villas and 152ha for office, commercial, financial and retail areas.

“Viet Han will focus on developing ecological area, other functional areas will be called for the cooperation with other domestic and foreign investors and developers,” said Chau.

Chau also confirmed that the company had signed to borrow a $500 million loan package from a Korean bank.

Established in 2006, Viet Han is developer of many large-scale projects such the 12.17ha Castle Plaza in Hanoi, 92ha Long Dien Skypark urban project, the Viet Han residential projects 1, 3 and 5 in southern Ba Ria-Vung Tau province and the 335ha Cu Chi Trading Village in Ho Chi Minh City.
