Following the merger, Cornwalls Migration aims to expand consulting services related to business, investment and migration to Vietnamese and Australian clients. |
Following the deal, Cornwalls Migration continues to grow based on Cornwalls' long-standing experience in multidisciplinary consulting and Verity Law's deep understanding of the Vietnamese market.
Specifically, Verity Law was founded six years ago to help high-net-worth individuals and families move to Australia under business and investment visa programmes. Verity Law also offers a wide range of legal services related to business opening and investment in Australia.
Thanks to its staff of lawyers and partners in Vietnam, Verity Law has gained insights into the demands and trends of investment and settlement in the country. The significant advantages of Cornwalls will continue to complement the Verity Law team's knowledge and experience.
Specifically, Cornwalls is the most trusted law firm in Australia serving a wide range of high-net-worth clients. Over the past four years, Cornwalls has systematically set about differentiating itself by setting up a multidisciplinary group that does more than law.
Cornwalls currently owns a global corporate advisory business that is currently working on a number of projects with a combined transaction value of more than $1 billion. The group also operates a funds management business with an Australian financial services licence; as well as a private lending platform and contributory mortgage fund with combined assets under management of more than $300 million.
As part of the plan to build a sustainable value chain for global investors, Verity Law participates in Cornwalls' value chain as a partner. The law firm is specialising in business and investment immigration consulting services.
Levent Shevki, CEO of Cornwalls said that the merger with Verity Law comes at a perfect time. The Cornwalls group is poised to take advantage of Australia’s COVID-19-inspired pent-up demand for immigrants. Verity Law clients are successful business people with sophisticated needs.
Meanwhile, Shanice Hoang, chief counsel cum CEO of Verity Law said, “The merger between Verity Law and Cornwalls is expected to open up new opportunities for investors between the two countries who want to expand their investment and business. With diverse services from Verity Law and many years of experience from Cornwalls, we will accompany investors in the whole journey of building a good life in the land they choose as their second home.”
The merger between two law firms aims to capitalise on the rising economic ties between Vietnam and Australia. By the end of August 2021, Australia is Vietnam’s 10th largest trading partner. Bilateral trade turnover between Australia and Vietnam reached $9.1 billion in the first nine months of the year, up more than 50 per cent over the same period last year. In addition, Australia currently ranks 19th out of 141 countries and territories having investment projects in Vietnam.
This deal is expected to pave the way for citizens and business people from the two countries to invest, settle down, and start a new life in the other country, thereby contributing to the economic development of Vietnam and Australia.
