The Korea Rural Community and Agriculture Corporation (KRC), a state-run firm from South Korea, has said it will help the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap with qualified seeds, techniques, and technology for the production of flowers for export.

KRC announced the effort after conducting a field trip to Sa Dec, a city in the province, on Thursday as part of the cooperation project between the corporation and Dong Thap, which had been approved before.

After visiting several flower shops and farms in Sa Dec, KRC remarked that the city holds great advantages in the cultivation and export of fresh flowers and stressed that it has potential for cooperation in the future.

KRC highly appreciated Dong Thap’s plan to connect the production of fresh flowers with the attraction of tourists.

The Korean firm also promised to call on South Korean enterprises to study these business opportunities in Dong Thap for cooperation in the coming time.

KRC, which has been incorporated by the ‘Rearrangement of Agricultural and Fishing Villages Act’ of the South Korean government, has helped over 30 nations modernize their agricultural sector and taken part in a number of rural development projects.

Three types of overseas projects that KRC is involved in include exporting agricultural development knowhow, participating in international development projects, and aiding private firms in farming abroad.
