Under the new post, Barger will take responsibility for the company’s strategies and performance, and also support customers in the region. Moreover, the new chairman will be based in Singapore and focus on shifting Southeast Asian branches to be smart businesses with the mission of framing value and reaching success.
“Digital technology has reached all industries, organisations, business process, and individual experience. Digital transformation has been contributing to the creation of the Southeast Asian digital economy,” said Barger.
The initial steps will be to work with the branches’ leaders in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and the regionally emerging markets.
Previously, Barger was SAP’s COO at the Asia-Pacific, developing and carrying out growth strategies in the area. She is a global citizen with 15 years of experience in the software industry in North America, Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Europe. Barger was in charge of business customers, customer service, and business consultancy.
