Packaging industry’s high growth
Vietnam's packaging industry plays an increasingly essential and appreciated role. During two years of the pandemic, packaging production effectively met the requirements of goods circulation, ensuring the quality of food delivered to customers, especially providing sufficient packages for medical care, pandemic prevention and export.
Globally, packaging value has almost reached $500 billion annually, growing an average of 12 per cent per year.
Vietnam’s packaging industry had a relatively high and stable growth rate of 13.4 per cent annually in 2015-2020. Vietnam has more than 4,500 packaging manufacturing enterprises, mainly concentrated in key economic regions such as the Southeast (including Ho Chi Minh City), with 2,627 enterprises, and the Red River Delta (including Hanoi), with 1,311 enterprises.
The return of ProPak Vietnam 2022
After a two-year hiatus, the 15th ProPak Vietnam 2022 officially returns with the warm welcome of thousands of enterprises in the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries.
After 14 successful editions with more than 10,000 attendees in each exhibition, ProPak Vietnam has been evaluated as a good platform to provide business opportunities for large and small-sized enterprises to participate and develop together and obtain valuable opportunities and useful industry knowledge.

This event is held on an international scale with the participation of more than 400 exhibitors from 30 countries/ regions on coverage of over 10,000 square metres, in which there are noticeable seven international group pavilions from Italy, Germany, Singapore, China, Korea, and Taiwan.
The event will bring exposure to the latest products/services in processing and packaging technology.
Some outstanding companies such as Dalgakiran Kompresor (Turkey); FPT Food Process Technology (Germany); Fuji Machinery (Japan); Greenpack (Korea); Guan Yu Machinery Factory (Taiwan); Heat And Control Pty (Australia); ABB Automation and Electrification (Vietnam), Amut S.P.A (Italy), Bossar Packaging S.L. The sessions feature Vietnam Beverage Industry and Equipment Technology Trends in the future, held by the Vietnam Beer Alcohol Beverage Association on November 9, from 1.30pm - 4:30pm; Advanced and Sustainable Technology Development in Food Industry organised by the Vietnam Association of Food Science and Technology (VAFoST) on November 10, from 9am to 2pm; Design, technology and intelligent production systems in the packaging industry for managing products and production wires and increasing interaction experience for customers, held by Meslab on November 11, 2022, from 9:30 am - 4:30 am; and PROTALK, a series of technical seminars, held on November 9 and 10.
ProPak Vietnam 2022 also features intriguing activities such as the Innovation Technology showcase, Sustainable Square, 1-1 Business Matching programme, which aims to elevate visitors’ experiences.
ProPak Vietnam, together with Printech Vietnam, and Vietwater are co-hosted to bring a comprehensive trading platform in the processing, packaging, printing, labelling, water supply, and water and wastewater treatment industries this November.
