New formula to grow Quang Binh's economy

“The Quang Binh plan stresses that the 4-2-3-3 formula, that is four economic-development pillars, two growth-driving centres, three urban centres, and three economic corridors, is an important guideline to create a breakthrough for the province's economy," said the party secretary.

Specifically, the four pillars of Quang Binh's economic development are tourism and services, industry, high-tech agriculture, and the marine economy.

The two growth-driving centres of the province are Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park and Hon La Economic Zone.

The three urban centres are Dong Hoi and its surrounding areas, the northern urban area of Ba Don and to the south, the urban area of Kien Giang.

The last important factor in Quang Binh's formula are the three economic corridors; the coastal delta economic corridor; the east-west economic corridor connecting the Cha Lo international border gate with Ba Don town, Hon La Seaport, and the midlands; and the mountainous economic corridor that connects with Ho Chi Minh Highway and the North-South Expressway.

These will be important growth drivers for Quang Binh to become one of the most well-developed provinces in the central region.

Secretary Thang spoke of his desire to start to implement the master plan as soon as possible. "Quang Binh hopes that central ministries, agencies, and other localities will support the implementation of this master plan, to create new advantages for the province and contribute to the development of the country," he said.

Thang confirmed that the committee has been making efforts to comprehensively change the investment environment to better ensure an environment for strong returns and the stable development of projects in the province.

"Today's conference has asserted the province's determination to improve the business environment and work with investors more effectively," Than said,"We will do our best to turn Quang Binh's potential into concrete results."

This was the third annual investment promotion conference in Quang Binh since 2021.
