Nestlé Vietnam launches meaningful campaign for consumers to welcome Lunar New Year

As Lunar New Year is around the corner, Nestlé has kicked off its Trao dieu lanh, Don loc xanh campaign (Giving blessings, welcoming green buds) to inspire the community to do good things to protect the environment.

Within the framework of the campaign from December 20 to January 31, Nestlé Vietnam will accompany consumers to contribute to afforestation against climate change, sustainable coffee farming, and support environmental workers to keep the cities green and clean.

For each consumer who buys Nescafé, Maggi, Milo, KitKat, and Nestea from Nestlé, as well as votes on one out of three sustainable development activities for environmental protection at giadinhnestle.com.vn/an-tet-xanh, Nestlé Vietnam will donate $0.44 to the activity.

Nestlé Vietnam will accompany consumers to donate 8,000 plants to forests, 500,000 seedlings for sustainable coffee farming, and 2,500 gift packages to environmental sanitation workers. Thus, each product represents Nestlé’s commitment to quality as well as its goal to reinvent the future towards sustainable development.

This becomes even more meaningful in the context that Vietnam is facing environmental challenges, such as the crisis of solid waste, climate change, the shrinking green space, as well as the increasing area of old coffee plants. The efforts of both the company and consumers will contribute to building a greener environment.

Binu Jacob, CEO of Nestlé Vietnam said, "With a hope to create a better and more sustainable environment, for the first time, Nestlé Vietnam has called for people to celebrate the Lunar New Year holiday differently. We are pleased to accompany the Gaia Nature Conservation Centre, the Central Highlands Agro-Forestry Science Institute, and the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee to join with consumers to make practical and meaningful contributions. I believe that each of our small contributions when combined together can make a big impact on the environment. The campaign will also be a positive step for Nestlé Vietnam to pursue the Regenerative Agriculture journey in 2022.”

With the message of "Giving blessings, welcoming green buds", Nestlé Vietnam and consumers hope for a good beginning for the new year by making positive contributions to the environment.

This effort further asserts Nestlé's goal of reinventing the future as an outstanding enterprise with several activities to build a sustainable environment. Most recently, the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development under the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry has voted Nestlé Vietnam as the most sustainable enterprise in Vietnam in 2021 in the manufacturing sector.
