Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange’s (HoSE) VN-Index slightly lost 1.51 points or 0.39 per cent to 381.71 points, while Hanoi Stock Exchange’s (HNX) HNX-Index was off 0.35 points or 0.68 per cent to 51.23 points.
Matching value was almost unchanged after falling to new low level yesterday. The value totaled VND297.4 billion ($14.3 million).
Put-through value slightly increased, helping HoSE’s liquidity reach 21.4 million shares worth VND336.5 billion ($16.1 million) and HNX’s liquidity reaching 21.3 million shares worth VND125 billion ($6 million).
Supply pressure increased in mineral sectors. Ocean Group (OGC), Kinh Bac City Development Share Holding Corp. (KBC), Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAG) and Licogi 16 (LCG) modestly fell.
Mineral stocks Binh Thuan Mineral Industry (KSA), Nari Hamico Minerals (KSS), Lao Cai Mineral Exploitation & Processing (LCM), Tay Bac Minerals Investment (KTB) massively ended down.
Among large-cap stocks, banking tickets Eximbank (EIB), Vietcombank (VCB) and Vietinbank (CTG) slightly shed. Masan Group (MSN) and Kinh Do Corp. (KDC) significantly lost.
Advancers turned to outrun decliners 99 to 85 on the southern bourse.
Whereas, several stocks in producing sectors still rallied with comparatively high trading volume. Petrolimex Gas (PGC) sharply rose, Sao Vang Rubber (SRC), Hoa Sen Group (HSG), PetroVietnam General Services Corp. (PET), Gemadept Corp. (GMD) significantly advanced, with matching value of hundreds of thousands units.
Even some real estate and mineral sector stocks still rallied, among them Bac Giang Exploitable Mineral (BGM) hit the ceiling, Urban Development and Construction Corp. (UDC), Ho Chi Minh City Infrastructure Investment (CII), Hoa Binh Construction & Real Estate Corp. (HBC), Duc Long Gia Lai Group (DLG) significantly rose.
Meanwhile, leading HNX stocks largely ended flat today, among them VNDirect Securities (VND), PetroVietnam Construction (PVX), Kim Long Securities (KLS), Saigon-Hanoi Securities (SHS) and Bao Viet Securities (BVS). Decliners and advancers ran even at 88 stocks each on the northern bourse.
