Liquidity continues its southwards path

Liquidity had not stop decreasing yet as investors still get no encouraging power to purchase shares.

The matching value of the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) further fell to VND127.6 billion ($6.2 million). Total matching value stayed at VND392.1 billion ($18.9 million).

Two benchmarks both slightly shed again. Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange’s (HoSE) VN-Index lost 1.44 points or 0.37 per cent to 388.42 points. Hanoi Stock Exchange’s (HNX) HNX-Index was off 0.11 points or 0.21 per cent to 53.02 points.

On the HoSE, only Tan Tao Investment Industry Corp. (ITA) had a matching value of more than one million units. Duc Long Gia Lai Group (DLG) followed with some 800,000 units matched.

The matching value of several highly liquid stocks like Vietcombank (VCB), Refrigeration Electrical Engineering Corp. (REE) reduced to just few hundred thousand shares.

Real estate tickets Saigon Infrastructure Real Estate Investment (SII), Vietnam Electricity Construction (VNE), Ho Chi Minh City Infrastructure Investment (CII), Kinh Bac City Development Share Holding Corp. (KBC), Ocean Group (OGC) were active the most today with more than 500,000 units matched each.

However, put-through value suddenly soared, with as many as 35 million Eximbank (EIB) shares were negotiated today. The value helped HoSE’s liquidity reaching high at 57.6 million shares worth VND890.5 billion ($43 million).

The sudden move in Eximbank (EIB) encouraged some other banking tickets. Vietinbank (CTG), Military Bank (MBB) and Eximbank (EIB) all ended up.

Meanwhile, Asia Commercial Bank (ACB), Vietcombank (VCB) and Sacombank (STB) ended down. Several large-cap stocks like Vinamilk (VNM), Kinh Do Corp. (KDC), FPT Corp. (FPT), PetroVietnam Gas (GAS) significantly fell.

Real estate tickets Ho Chi Minh City Infrastructure Investment (CII), Duc Long Gia Lai Group (DLG), Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAG) and mineral tickets Binh Thuan Mineral Industry (KSA), Nari Hamico Minerals (KSS) and Tay Bac Minerals Investment (KTB) significantly advanced.

Decliners outran advancers 100 to 83 on HoSE, while 126 stocks were unchanged. Decliners also outran advancers on HNX, with 65 tocks up and 90 down. Un-traded stocks amounted to 157 tickets on the northern bourse today.
