Japan waste firm eyes Vietnam opportunity

Japan-based Matsuda Sangyo Company is mulling a plan to build an industrial waste treatment facility to support Japan’s Vietnam-based industrial projects.

Yoshiaki Matsuda, chairman of Matsuda Sangyo, said that the company wanted to open an industrial waste treatment factory specialised in  collecting, treating and recycling gold flour from Vietnam-based Japan’s industrial projects’ products.

“At present, the company is asking related bodies, namely State Bank and the Ministry of Finance to give the company specific instructions of investment procedures,” added Matsuda.

However, detailed information of this project has not yet been disclosed. Matsuda said Matsuda Sangyo would contribute efficiently to servicing Japan’s existing industrial factories in Vietnam and improving competitive ability of investment environment in Vietnam.

Founded in 1951, Matsuda Sangyo engages in precious metals, environmental and food business.
As of March 31, 2012, the company had 10 subsidiaries and one associated company.
