IPP Group's eDiGi shuts down

When the media inquired about this unforeseen development, chairman of IPP Group – eDiGi's parent company – Johnathan Hanh Nguyen stepped forward to shed some light on the matter.

He revealed that the unyielding tides of the market had forced their hand, compelling them to relinquish eDiGi. Unfavourable market conditions, characterised by an intensifying landscape of cut-throat competition and, more pointedly, an insurmountable hurdle in procuring Apple's merchandise, had stripped away the allure that once surrounded eDiGi's Apple-centric offerings.

eDiGi, a name that once echoed with resounding promise, made its grand entrance into the Vietnamese market in 2018.

It quickly became synonymous with premium elegance as it earned the prestigious distinction of simultaneously being Vietnam's premier Apple Premium Reseller and Apple Service Provider.

Nestled within the bustling heart of District 1 in Ho Chi Minh City, the fact that eDiGi exclusively offered Apple products and adhered to Apple Store standards set it apart from Apple's other authorised retail stores.

Pioneering a revolutionary concept in Vietnam, eDiGi stood as a beacon of innovation with its groundbreaking dual-purpose model – a fusion of product distribution and an Apple service centre, all encapsulated within a single location. The establishment emerged as the pinnacle of Apple's authorised retail network in Vietnam, providing customers with an unparalleled and all-encompassing Apple experience.

Despite suggestions of the news on April 28, it was not until May 17, just a day before Apple's launch of its online store in Vietnam, that eDiGi made the official announcement of its closure.
