Mipim Asia and CBRE Vietnam are gearing up for an international real estate convention and exhibition in Hong Kong this year.

Mipim Asia is a summit convention on real estate in Asia-Pacific,  facilitating transactions and connections for real estate professionals in the region.

In the context of financial and real estate businesses facing numerous difficulties, Mipim Asia will offer opportunities for all companies engaged in real estate an Asia.

Richard Leech, executive director of CBRE in Hanoi, said: “We have been informed that there are still many projects in Vietnam and Hanoi in particular in need of speeding up, and we hope to accelerate the process, to seek more cooperation opportunities.”

Le Vinh Duc, chief representative of Mipim Asia in Vietnam and director of An Duc Brand Communications, said while six Vietnamese companies took part in Mipim Asia 2006, in 2010 there were 60 attending companies, including 19 exhibiting firms.

“Mipim Asia meets the demand of the Vietnamese real estate businesses and has become a festival day for Asian real estate community,” said Duc.

Meetings and connections for real estate investors and companies are being proceeded by Mipim Asia in all markets and nations of large real estate potentials in the region, such as Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and China in order to form the success of the exhibition to be held in November 15-17.

William Young, senior project director of Mipim Asia, said the event  continued to focus on promoting and developing Vietnam real estate, with the aim of creating more business opportunities between its attendees which contain investors, developers, professional advisors, end users, retailers and hotel sector groups, via  exhibition, conference programme and a variety of networking events.

“Mipim Asia 2011 will be enhanced to create the environment for better transfer of information through its conference programme and foster building of more business relationships via the new style networking events,” he said.

Mipim Asia last year attracted nearly 1,800 visitors, more than 800 companies, and 150 exhibiting companies, from 40 countries. With the robust development of real estate projects in the region this year, the event promises to be even more exciting.
