HDBank to raise charter capital

HDBank is preparing to issue 145 million stocks to raise its chartered capital.

The new capital of the bank will rise to VND3.5 trillion ($184.2 million) by the end of this year.

The issuance consists of two phases, with 45 million stocks issued for its current shareholders in the first phase.

The remaining 100 million stocks will be issued for current shareholders and its staff in the second phase.

The offer price for each stock to its shareholders and staff is VND10,000 (US5.2 cents).

HDBank reportedly earned pre-tax profit of VND171 billion ($9 million) as of July 31 this year, a year-on-year increase of 15.5 per cent. Its total assets was VND23.9 trillion ($1.2 billion) at the same time, posting a year-on-year increase of 73 per cent.
