Foreigners break into top 10

Two additional foreign-backed brokerage firms are ranked among the top 10 Hanoi Stock Exchange Q2 market shares.

Korean-backed Golden Bridge Vietnam Securities JSC ranked at eighth with a 3.2 per cent market shares on the northern bourse.

Kim Eng Vietnam Securities ranked at nine with 3 per cent. The Taiwan-backed firm announced recently to establish three new branches in southern provinces.

The number of foreign-backed firms in the market’s Q2 top 10 market shares increases to three, up from only one Ho Chi Minh City Securities Corp. in Q1.

Leading domestic players Thang Long Securities and ACB Securities maintained strong positions at first and fifth, although those two firms cut down operations by closing several branches and offices recently.

Total market shares of the 10 biggest firms in Hanoi rose to more than 47 per cent, up from Q1’s 44 per cent.
