The first edition of EuroCham's Greenbook was published for VietWater 2017 as the first step in a long process of promoting green business principles in Vietnam |
The contents of EuroCham’s Greenbook are not only ripe with business opportunities, but also regulatory matters and recommendations to improve the green business environment in Vietnam. The book also showcases success stories of projects in Vietnam undertaken by European businesses and other EuroCham members, while showing who is who in green business expertise in a comprehensive company directory.
The book was launched within the framework of EuroCham Green Day, comprising of three events dedicated to green business and particularly water management solutions. It took place as part of the VietWater 2017 held in Ho Chi Minh City.
According to Tomaso Andreatta, vice chairman of EuroCham and chairman of GGSC, these events are at the core of EuroCham’s mission as a chamber that stands for sustainable and environmentally-conscious business. EuroCham has several members that offer services and products to improve living standards and the quality of the environment, while being committed to conducting their business in a socially and environmentally responsible way.
“When there is need, EuroCham branches out to companies in Europe in order to address issues that may not yet have a solution in Vietnam, knowing that the principles guiding our members always touch upon co-operation, knowledge-sharing, and flexibility. EuroCham Greenbook showcases their expertise and these principles, presenting tangible evidence of the work EuroCham and its members are carrying out in Vietnam,” he said.
Beyond this publication, EuroCham also launched the interactive Greenbook website, the first portal of its kind in Vietnam, a platform for companies operating in the green business to promote their services and achievements in Vietnam. The Greenbook portal is also a centralised source of information when it comes to news and events on the subject.
