Themed ‘Asia’s New Future: Identifying New Growth Drivers’, the forum is expected to attract around 1,500 delegates from Australia, the Republic of Korea, Kazakhstan, Laos, Namibia, Pakistan, Israel, Iran, and Russia, discussing measures to improve the economic structure for a sustainable growth in a changeable situation of the world’s economy.
The conference will include 30 discussion sessions on Asia’s economic prospects in 2014; changes in the global supply chain and the rise of Asian consumer markets; recovery of competitiveness capacity of Asian markets and newly emerging markets; international economic cooperation frameworks; IT trends; climate change; urbanization in an environmentally friendly manner and maritime cooperation.
Inaugurated in 2001, the BFA is a non-governmental and non-profit international economic forum for leaders from government, business and academia in Asia and other continents to share their vision on the most pressing issues in this dynamic region and the world at large. It has become an important political and economic forum, attracting the concern of regional and international community.
Vietnamese delegation attending the BFA aims to enhancing relations between Viet Nam and China, learning other countries’ experience in building a sustainable balanced development model, promoting economic and trade links with the forum’s member countries and boosting practical cooperation between localities of Viet Nam and China, particularly Hainan Province.
