They made the remark on June 4 after making fact-finding trips to the projects within the framework of the mid-term meeting of the Consultative Group (CG) which is being held in Dong Ha city, Quang Tri province, on June 4-5.
A group of donors inspected a project to restore and upgrade the Nam Thach Han irrigation system worth over 4.1 million USD with 3.7 million USD coming from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) preferential ODA loans. They also toured a WB-funded project to prevent flood for the low land area of Hai Lang in the province’s southern part.
Another group visited a RENEW-funded project to help Quang Tri restore the environment and overcome consequences of the war, the construction of Ho Xa-Vinh Tu-Vinh Thai road funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency and a project on afforestation with the support of the German Government in the northern part of Quang Tri.
