British University Vietnam (BUV) officially commences its new campus’ construction in Ecopark Township in the northern provinced of Hung Yen.

This project is built on an area of 6.5 hectares with the total investment capital of $70 million to cater to a population of 7,000 full time students. The project is being built in three phases, providing Vietnamese and foreign students with world class teaching and learning facilities, international faculty and a globally recognised degree, as well as top rate recreation and student development facilities.

The Ecopark campus will open its first phase and commence operation by the end of 2017 upon completion of the first phase of construction with the investment capital of nearly $25 million on an area of nearly 3ha and with a capacity of 1,200 students.

"We are impressed by the progress of development at Ecopark, especially the efforts in creating a leading educational services hub for the citizens of Hanoi, northern Vietnam and of the province. Our new Ecopark campus in Hung Yen province will act as the foundation for BUV in Vietnam and we are proud to commit such a long-term investment in education,” said Jesse David Boone, BUV’s general director.

“The Ecopark new campus construction has shown BUV’s commitment to sustainable development in Vietnam. The modern, high standard UK teaching environment which we are aiming to create will help more Vietnamese students to obtain a world class, highly regarded education right here in their home country,” Christopher Jeffery, dean of BUV said.

BUV is the first and only university in Vietnam fully licensed to deliver undergraduate degree programmes awarded by the University of London, one of the top-five leading universities in the United Kingdom, and Staffordshire University.

BUV students have opportunities to study with 100 per cent international faculty, in modern learning environment, that has been designed for the 21st Century student. This enables students to develop their knowledge and capabilities to match international competition.

In 2014, BUV was awarded Registered Centre status by University of London International Programmes and is one of only 75 institutions globally to have been awarded this status.
