Simultaneously, the investor is considering investing in the Hoai Nhon Port area, which has around 496.9ha of land and ocean. The port is being examined and designed to become a specialist port for the manufacturing of the Long Son complex. The total investment is approximately $403 million and contains two stages.

The first stage from 2021 to 2025 includes 10 berths with a total length of 2,525m; a port logistics area of about 44ha; and dikes with a length of approximately 4,000m and an annual capacity of 11 to 13 million metric tonnes.

After 2025, the second stage will include 13 berths with 3,525m; a channel width of 230m, a channel bottom elevation of -21.0 metres, one turning basin with a diameter of 670m, and a maximum ship size of 250,000 tonnes.

Hoai Nhon Port will contribute to the fulfillment of the complex's material and product transportation requirements, hence facilitating the import and export of commodities.

The province requires the project to invest in sequential waste treatment works, organise reasonable subdivisions, and strictly comply with current regulations.

Both projects are anticipated to have a significant impact on the development of industry, supporting industries, and seaport services, consequently contributing to the economic expansion of Binh Dinh, the central coastal provinces, and the Central Highlands.

In addition, it can accommodate a significant number of local employees. Thus, around 5,000 people will be employed throughout the development of the project, and approximately 7,500 others employed during production and business operations.
