Big names list on UPCom

The trading value of the Vietnam Unlisted Public Company Market is being impressively enhanced due to the debut of many new tickers.

On September 18, Vinalines Logistics, a member of the Vietnam National Shipping Lines (Vinalines) Corporation, will officially list over 14.2 million shares on the Vietnam Unlisted Public Company Market (UPCoM), at the reference price of VND12,600 ($0.58) each. Coded as VLG, the total trading volume registered was more than VND142 billion ($6.5 million).

In the company’s financial report, the revenue for 2014 reached VND2,262 billion ($103 million). VLG is targeting a 6-8 per cent rise per annum for the 2015-2016 period, with revenue expected at VND2.4 trillion ($110 million) and VND2.6 trillion ($119.2 million) for two years, respectively.

On the same day, Tracimexco - Supply Chains and Agency Services (Trasas) listed its TRS tickers at the high price of VND21,100 ($0.97) since the first trading session. More than 2.2 million shares are available to be purchased, equivalent to a total value of over VND22 billion ($1.009 million).

Trasas is currently the exclusive importer of all maintainable accessories of Microsoft mobile/Nokia Care since 2009, and the Remy Cointreau Vietnam brands, such as Remy Martin, Louis XIII, and Piper-Heidsieck. Also, the company is an importer and customs broker of Starbucks/Viet Ideas coffees, McDonald Vietnam, and Coca-Cola Vietnam.

In 2014, Trasas gained nearly $1.2 million in after-tax profit, an increase of 68.5 per cent on-year.

On September 17, Masan Resources (MSR), developer of the world-class Nui Phao polymetallic project in Northern Vietnam, has officially debuted more than 700 million shares, worth over VND 7 trillion ($321 million), of which 24.51 per cent is open to foreign investors.

The reference price for MSR shares on the first trading date was VND15,500 ($0.71) per stake.

Masan Resources, one of the largest private sector natural resources companies in Vietnam, is a member of Masan Group Corporation.

According to the resource estimation performed by Cube Consulting Pty Ltd, Nui Phao is the second largest operating tungsten mine in the world, with a reserve of 66 million tonnes of tungsten trioxide. For the first half of the year, MSR operated nearly 2,500 tonnes of tungsten, (collected VND515 billion), nearly 87,000 tonnes of florit, and 2.904 tonnes of copper (collected VND730 billion).
