Berlin cultural event to be held in Hanoi this week

An event featuring music and street arts performances, movies screening, and light projections under the theme of Germany’s capital city will be held in Hanoi late this week.

Titled “Berlin live in Hanoi,” the event is organized on the occasion of the official visit of the Governing Mayor of Berlin to Hanoi this month.

It will showcase short films of the international film festival Berlinale and famous silent movies from Berlin in the 1920s, street art activities including stencil branding and graffiti tattoo, hip hop and breakdances performed by artists MARC HYPE & JIM DUNLOOP, SOULROCK and ZEB.ROC.SKI and light projections with electronic music of the group Lichtpiraten.

Governing Mayor of Berlin Klaus Wowereit will have a meeting with local press at the event.

“Berlin live in Hanoi” will take place from 4pm - 11pm on October 27 at Zone 9 at 9 Tran Thanh Tong Street.

Admission is free.
