French life insurer Prevoir Vietnam and Asia Commercial Bank (ACB) signed an agreement on April 15 under which ABC Bank’s top 100 personal customers will receive a free healthcare insurance policy that will cover $530,000 a year in health care costs.

Under this VIP Healthcare plan, each of the bank’s 100 VIP clients can receive free medical treatment for one year at hospitals in Vietnam, Thailand, France and Germany. Women, when giving birth to a child, will receive a $3,000 insurance payment plus free insurance for the newborn.

As for hospitalisation, Prevoir Vietnam will pay the cost incurred at over 200 hospitals worldwide, said Hoang Hoai Giang, chief operating officer of the French insurer. ACB executive vice president Bui Tan Tai said that his bank selects its VIP clients every year and it will notify the 100 individuals to inform them that they have been given the free healthcare package.
