Fourteen international pavilions are showcasing the latest technologies, solutions, equipment, and products during the three-day exhibition. Among them, Taiwan Excellence Pavilion brings the spotlight on seven brands, four of which are Taiwan Excellence Award-winners, namely Energy Management System, Long Chen Technology, Walrus Pump, and Cashido.

Entering Taiwan Excellence Pavilion, visitors will have the chance to directly experience and receive profound insights into various innovative and effective technologies in water management, wastewater treatment, sanitation, and purification. This is also an information centre for Vietnamese businesses to gather and exchange knowledge and experiences from Taiwan towards sustainable water management in Vietnam.

With a combination of IoT and ICT strengths, Taiwan excels in smart water technology, with the annual exports of pumps, valves, pipes, meters, and water purifiers exceeding $2 billion. In Taiwan, investment in water infrastructure is targeting smart water management and water reclamation, which will be supplying 10 per cent of all water resources by 2030.

On the water industry’s development potential and smart technologies, R. C. Shih, representative of the Taipei Culture and Economic Office in Vietnam, highlighted: “A study by McKinsey Global Institute estimated that IoT technology in water systems could provide a value of $7 billion to $14 billion per year. The quality and innovation in IoT is the future of not only Taiwan but also the whole world. Therefore, as a leading player in global ICT and IoT industries, Taiwan in general, and Taiwan Excellence in particular, wish to share all the advances in this industry with Vietnam—a fast-growing economy as well as a very important economic partner of Taiwan.”

According to UBM Asia, the organiser of the event, the energy demand will rise by an estimated 13 per cent annually in the next four years, and the Vietnamese government will also aim to increase the rate of clean water access in the water industry by 95-100 per cent by 2025.

Themed "Sustainable Water Development–International Experiences," besides the exhibition area, the 9th edition of Vietwater also provides useful technical knowledge through international conferences and technical seminars from leaders in water management and wastewater treatment.
