CMA CGM Columba became the largest container vessel ever to dock in Vietnam.

Located approximately 50  kilometers southeast of Ho Chi Minh City, CMIT is the first container terminal in Vietnam to offer shipping lines direct access to the newly dredged and certified 14m Cai Mep Terminal Channel.

It also offers a 22-row super-post Panamax quay crane, for the world’s newest generation of vessels.

CMIT is a joint venture between Maersk A/S and the Vietnam-based Saigon Port & Vietnam National Shipping Line – Vinaline.

The dock covers 48 hectares and can accommodate vessels of up to 160,000DWT.
