Vietnam International Bank last week announced it had appointed Dam Bich Thuy, former vice president of ANZ in the Greater Mekong Region, as its new chief executive officer.

Before joining Vietnam International Bank (VIB), Thuy had more than 20 years of experience in the banking sector.

“With her rich experience and achievements in the banking and finance sector, we believe that Thuy, in her new role as chief executive officer, will lead VIB to succeed in affirming our bank’s position in the local market,” said Han Ngoc Vu, chairman of the board of directors of VIB.

“We are also confident that VIB will continue to be a safe and sustainable financial institution where customers can have peace of mind in realising their financial plans.”

“I feel very proud to lead VIB at this time,” Thuy said. “I understand that VIB has been developing for nearly 17 years with over 1 million personal customers and more than 25,000 corporate customers.”

She added with such foundation, members of VIB’s board of management and more than 3,500 staff would continue to drive the bank’s strength and development.
