This result brought TMV to the 5th place among Toyota’s 12 plants in Asia Pacific and for the first time the Vietnamese plant received The Most Improved Award. It shows TMV’s continuous effort in training its human resource to bring the best products and services to customers.
This year, TMV joined the skill contest with seven tests namely press, welding, painting, assembly, inspection, logistic and maintenance, competing against plants in other countries such as Thailand, India and the Philippines.
From the first time it participated in the Toyota Asia Pacific Skill Contest in 2007 up to now, TMV has achieved four gold medals, 13 silver medals and 17 bronze medals. For a plant with just 20 years of operation, production volume at 40,000 units per year, this result not only shows the effort from the contest team members but also the commitment from TMV’s top management to sustainable development in Vietnam. As a result, TMV received “The Best quality plant in Asia Pacific” in 2014.
