ANZ further goes south

ANZ Vietnam last week inaugurated its representative office in Can Tho, the economic hub of the Mekong Delta, to better serve its customers in the region.

The office was another step of the bank toward further expanding in Vietnam, said ANZ Vietnam CEO Tareq Muhmood.

“Vietnam is an important market for ANZ’s super regional strategy. The new representative office demonstrates our commitment to invest in the country, specifically in the Mekong Delta region where one of our goals is to further support exporting businesses and be closer to our customers,” said Muhmood.

He added that with the new office, ANZ Vietnam would be able to conduct local market research and offer more products and services suitable to Mekong Delta clients.

Operating in Vietnam since 1993 with eight branches and transaction offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and a representative office in Can Tho, ANZ’s products and services include retail banking, business banking and corporate financial solutions.
