A firefighting and prevention drill was held today with the participation of more than 500 people, including staff working in building, developing and operating AEON MALL Long Bien from AEON Mall Vietnam, AEON Delight Vietnam, and AEON Vietnam, as well as tenants’ staff and the Fire Fighting Force.

Particularly, the event was attended by Kazunori Manago, Second Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, the People's Committee of Long Bien District, and representatives of the Hanoi Department of Fire Police.

As soon as the assumed fire situation started at Tiniworld on the 3^rd floor, the fire alarm system activated and firefighting unit of AEON Mall Long Bien immediately approached the scene and tried to use all facilities to stop the fire at the its first stage and carried out firefighting rescue

The firefighting commander asked all security team and rescue team members to urgently guide customers and staff in AEON Mall to the nearest exits

The rescue team provided first-aid assistance immediately as affected victims reached safety

All security and rescue teams continued to help tenants carry goods out of the fire area

Within 10 minutes, Fire Prevention and Firefighting Police Division No.4, led by deputy chief Nguyen Duc Thiem, arrived with two firefighting engines, one ladder truck, one fire truck, and one fire rescue vehicle, together with 37 police officers and AEON Mall Long Bien staff to deploy firefighting and evacuation measures

Nguyen Manh Trinh, Vice Chairman of the Long Bien People’s Committee, applauded the well-oiled, science-based rescue tactics and the professional, well-trained staff of AEN Mall Long Bien who brought the fire under full control and rescued all civilians within 20 minutes
