Nat Changlum, CFO of Prime Group, shared that, “Following our vision to become the leading company in the building material business, Prime Group has adhered to good corporate governance and sustainable development principles since our establishment in 1999. In 2020, our main focus is to create and provide trusted quality products, especially in the ceramic field through advanced technology, research and development, trendsetter mindsets, installation standards, and better wellness to our consumers by providing a holistic solution package."

"With such relentless effort, Prime Group is proud to receive the National Quality Award this year. This award is an affirmation of our endless efforts to uplift the lives of our consumers and the whole society,” he added.

The National Quality Award is an award under the Global Performance Excellence Awards (GPEA) system, awarded by the prime minister to businesses with excellent achievements in improving product, service, competitiveness, and performance, promoting integration regionally and internationally. The government assigned the Ministry of Science and Technology to lead the implementation of National Quality Award activities since 1996.

To be qualified as “National Quality”, reputable and highly competitive enterprises must fully comply with seven criteria including leadership; strategic planning; customer and market-oriented; knowledge measurement, analysis, and management; human resources management and development; process management and operational performance results.

According to Prime Group, participation in this award is an opportunity for the firm to review its business performance, acknowledge the current strengths and weaknesses, as well as assess opportunities and challenges, leading to specific productivity enhancement measures and drawing up a roadmap of sustainable development.

Specifically, the company has applied up-to-date knowledge in corporate governance to set out a business strategy that takes into account the well-being of its employees, customers, partners, and communities. Among these considerations, besides the agility to market change and the adoption of IT in business management, Prime Group has shown the highest responsibility to the locality where it operates by contributing to the national budget, supporting the locality in COVID-19 and other charity works, as well as offering a healthy environment for its employees.

“Prime Group’s achievement in the National Quality Award this year, amidst challenges posted by COVID-19, has once again proven the sustainable approach that the company has been pursuing. This will also remain the compass of our activities in the upcoming era to become a sustainable business leader in Vietnam and the region,” added Changlum.

Established in Vietnam in 1999, Prime Group has become a leading building materials manufacturer with more than 4,400 employees and 16 subsidiary companies. The group’s portfolio includes a wide array of products, including ceramic tiles, roof tiles, and water heaters. In 2013, Prime Group joined SCG as a big leap to enhance its new product development, human resources and production for better habitat solutions.
