President welcomes Cambodian Deputy PM

President Truong Tan Sang received visiting Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs Sar Kheng in Hanoi on January 4.

At the reception, President Sang expressed his pleasure at Cambodia ’s socio-economic stability despite world and regional change in the last year.

He spoke highly of co-operation between the Cambodian Ministry of Home Affairs and the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security, and said he believes that agreements reached by the leaders from both sides will create a foundation to fulfil their tasks.

The President said he hopes the upcoming general election in Cambodia will be a success.

For his part, Cambodian Deputy PM Sar Kheng affirmed that traditional relations between the two ministries have developed well, especially co-operation in human resources training.

He said he believes the two countries’ co-operation in preventing crime and maintaining security will become more effective in 2013 thanks to agreements signed between the two sectors.
